Safety goggles must be won at all times during game play and while on the playing field. At no time may a player remove his or her goggles without the express permission of a referee. Should you goggles get shot or mist up so you cannot see, call a referee for assistance. Any player found lifting his or her goggles will be considered “out” and will only be able to resume play during the next game.
Head shots do not count. Andy shot above the level of the chin. Please do not deliberately shoot another player above this line.
All hits to the body count. Paintballs must break on you to count.
Friendly fire: Getting hit from a member of your own team does count.
Surrender rule: Any player that is within 20 feet of an opponent will give that opponent the option to “surrender”. If the opponent moves or does not surrender within 3 seconds, that player can be shot.
If you are sprayed by paint hitting brush or obstacles, it does not count. The paint ball has to hit you to count.
If you are “hit” you should yell “out” to let other players know you have been eliminated. Players ”out” of the game should put their barrel plug in as soon as possible, hold their markers in the air and then leave the field.
Paint check: If you are not sure of a hit on yourself or another player, you should yell “paint check”. Once a referee is at your location you are out of the game. He will announce to together players whether the player is “in” or “out”. If the player is still in the game, the referee will then give that player a 5 second count to hide, if he or she wants it. Players with a 5 second count can not shoot during their count, be shot at by other players, or capture a flag.
Players who are eliminated can not by word or gesture, indicate any intentions or locations of the opposing team members.
If a player, during a game is eliminated, and is carrying a flag, that player should call “out”, put their barrel plug in, place their marker on the ground, then holding the flag in the air, stand where they are until another player gets the flag. The eliminated player should then leave the field.
Any player who wipes paint off of themselves during a game is cheating. That player will lose all rental and or field fees and participation in games.
